Mission Statement

Central  Valley Prospector became a club in August of 2004.  We are a not for  profit Gold Club who's goal is to educate members and the public on the history of the California Gold Rush, how to mine for gold, and how to use different  types of equipment to get gold out of the ground.  One of our main focuses is educational events at Fresno area schools for 4th and 5th graders who are studying the California Gold Rush.  Members attend monthly club meetings and share experiences, techniques, and tools to help improve their ability to find and extract gold from area claims.  Monthly outings allow members to gain invaluable hands on experience applying various techniques in isolating gold, detecting for historical artifacts, and enjoy the outdoors
